Même idée que les autres sabots qui doivent arriver bientôt sur le marché
Ce qui fait toute la différence
Une construction sérieuse
5mm thickness
The original is 1.8mm! Mounted on small rubbers with the consistency of pencil erasers....
5083 aluminium alloy
“Aluminium 5083 is known for exceptional performance in extreme environments. 5083 is highly resistant to attack by both seawater and industrial chemical environments. Alloy 5083 also retains exceptional strength after welding. It has the highest strength of the non-heat treatable alloys”.
100% independent of engine
No connection to the crankcases whatsoever. Approx 10mm clearance to allow for deformation from
severe impact, and good airflow.
Light weight
The total weight gain is only 2.35kg (5.25 lbs) over the OEM setup—and this is both very low and very central.
6mm steel hanger bracket
Designed to prevent rotation (and distortion of the plate) following a hard impact.
Also provides extra strength by bracing between footpeg brackets. M8 tapped and black Powder-coated (no fiddly hex nuts).
TIG-welded both sides
Using 5356 filler, which can later be anodised if required.
Smooth underside
Countersunk fixings, and no slots/holes to catch on branches etc.
Compatible with OEM tank protectors
No need for ‘scaffolding’ (crash-bars), both increasing the width of the tank and adding weight.
One tool required for removal/installation
Easily removed (with or without tank protectors) using only a 5mm hex/allen key. A2 stainless steel fixings
provided. The lower tank protector connection point is also threaded to remove the need for a 10mm
spanner when removing the tank protectors.
Vapour-blasted finish
Natural corrosion-resistant 5083 alloy. No powder coating to come off. Finish can be restored by sanding
and/or wire brushing.
Extensive ventilation
Logo and hexagonal holes are not just for looks!
Integrated ‘crap flap’
No need for an aftermarket ‘crap flap’, as is necessary with the OEM plate to prevent the void containing the exhaust and oil cooler getting full of mud or flammable material.
Made and in the UK
Proudly designed and made in Great Britain .
Due to the unusual arrangement of fuel tanks (and their protectors) etc on the 790, there is considerably more involved with these than the Powerparts 1#90 plates. More material, a lot more laser cutting, and 52% more welding—which unfortunately but inevitably does make them more costly to produce.
