790 DESIGN FAULT WARNING - I've just been told that KTM UK will not
repair my 790 under warranty - it seems the lower crank case has been
damaged by pressure from the right footrest going through the lower
fixing bolt attached to the rear of the engine block. This has broken
off part of the engine block surrounding the bolt leaving a hairline
crack in the engine case - guess I was lucky riding it home through the
whole of France a week ago.
It may not be a mechanical fault but
it seems to me a real design fault to fix the bolt there where it
appears the smallest nudge will break it as there's literally no sign of
damage on the bottom of the footrest or the rest of the bottom of the
bike.
 S
O - is the 790 meant to go off road or not!

I'm waiting
for a reply from KTM - boy are they hard to get hold of - nice move to
let your dealer take the flack then become almost impossible to get hold
 of. Will keep you posted.
